Nora Thompson (she/her)
2020-2021 President
Nora Thompson is a junior studying public service public policy with a concentration in criminal justice. She transferred from Pima Community College in the spring of 2019. She joined Undergraduate Student Government Downtown as a Watts College of Public Service and Community Solutions Senator in May 2019. Concurrently, she works as a First-Year Success Coach and sits on the Watts College Council. She plans to get her Master’s in public administration upon graduation.
Monica Medina (she/her)
2020-2021 Vice President of Services
Monica Medina is a junior studying health science with a concentration in health law and regulation and a minor in history. She joined Undergraduate Student Government Downtown in August 2019 as a College of Health Solutions Senator. Beyond USGD, she currently works as a Devil’s Advocate and is working to create her own college council inside The College of Health Solutions. After graduating she plans to get a degree in law, focusing on healthcare.
Renuka Vemuri (she/her)
2020-2021 Vice President of Policy
Renuka Vemuri is a sophomore studying medical studies. She joined Undergraduate Student Government Downtown in December 2018 as a Barrett, the Honors College Senator and was Senate President during the spring 2020 semester. Beyond USGD, she also works as a research aide for the ASU School Lunch Study. She is involved on campus as a Human Event Teaching Assistant, and as a volunteer for organizations like Global Launch and Banner University Medical Center. Upon graduation, she plans to get her medical degree and work as a family practice physician or neurologist.
