As the summer sadly comes to a close, it’s time to prepare for back to school. Sometimes it may feel like a burden to get back into a routine and starting a new year with new responsibilities. One way to overcome that feeling is to change your perspective. Think about all the things you love about the school year whether that be back to school clothes or customizing your dorm/apartment.
Planning something that genuinely excites you is the perfect way to start off the school year. As summer drags on the last few weeks you’ll be jittering with excitement to come back and kick butt.
If you can’t think of anything, think of someone or something about school that you can only see or enjoy during the school year. Think about catching up with your work best friend after the summer apart, celebrating the first birthday of the year, starting that internship that you have been buzzing about, the first football game or welcome week events that ring in the year perfectly.
As a young pop star once said, “Life’s what you make it / So let’s make it rock.” This semester take the devil by the horns *get it wink wink* and do all the things you have been pushing off. Apply for that job, start that blog, go to that cycling class, join that club you are always talk about. 2018 - 2019 is a fresh start, a fresh canvas ready to be painted. Make it yours.
