The Government Operations Committee, or Gov Ops, is a committee that focuses on providing oversight to USGD members and ensuring that members are following bylaws and completing job duties. This committee also focuses on writing legislation (both bills and resolutions) and handling appeals. The Gov Ops committee meets biweekly on Fridays and is led by the Chair, Senator Carly Vigeant. The meetings usually comprise of reviewing the USGD bylaws, writing bills amending the bylaws which are voted on in the Senate sessions, and overseeing the strike system as well as office hour and absence violations.
